what is the purpose of computer graphics card?i have a graphics card like" XFX 1GB DDR2 9500 GT PCI EXP"in my PC.. Could you tell me about the function of this particular graphis card?
graphics card are the devices that improve your graphics during games, etc.
they are of different memories and codes.
that code that u have added to ur question is ur computer’s graphic card code.this shows that ur graphic card is of 1gb .
games like prince of persia and lord of the rings require more r.a.m.(random access memory) and more graphics.

I like to draw. And I would like to draw some things using Computer Graphics. I don’t want anything pricey because I’m not sure if I will be able to use it – I’ve never tried using computer graphics. And I like to draw anime so if there’s a program for me to draw anime….
Also, I am left-handed so I can’t draw well using a mouse. But I hope to get a drawing tablet. Will that help me? And what type should I get?
The Wacom Bamboo Fun is a reasonably-priced tablet aimed at users who aren’t thay "pro" yet. Sort of like a hobby tablet. My friend owns one, and I’ve heard it’s pretty good. Some tablets come in a bundle offer including Photoshop Elements (a toned down, cheaper version of the actual Photoshop), so you should try it.

Is it different from specialization in computer graphics?
There are several degrees like MS-DOS.

in united states there is a lot of universities offering master degree in computer graphics and game technology etc.any idea of that such master degree program offered in japan university. i tried looking at tokyo university, kyoto university, keio university but couldnt find anything. if possible please provide a link for me. later im interested to pursue my career on video game development industry. thanks in advance guys
It’s extremely rare to see master’s course which specializes on game in Japan. More than 95% of conventional universities do not have that kind of course.
But the below one, Tohoku University of Art and Design has Sendai School which is focusing on game designing.
http://conpro.jp/en/
Please keep in mind that master’s degree is generally not appreciated in Japanese society. It’s appreciated in some fields. But I don’t think that’s the case in gaming industry.
If you can, it’s better to directly find a job in game industry in Japan.

I like computer graphics and programming but can’t think of a good career that does both.
I’ve worked on business graphics applications that consisted of customizing a graphics engine at a very low level to produce sophisticated mapping applications where graphic objects were associated with database records that could be used to modify the object’s appearance and location. Companies who use or market GIS (geographic information systems) use computer graphics and hire programmers to help them build, customize or implement GIS systems. Image types include vector graphics, raster images, animations, video, etc.
See www.esri.com, usa.autodesk.com or www.bentley.com. These companies hire programmers and graphic application specialists, but companies that use these applications hire them also.

It incorporated computer generated graphics throughout the entire movie. Other had bits and pieces, but TRON had the most.

I am very interested in computer graphics technology and such. My dream is to one day be able to design and animate graphics for movies. (Is pixar a way too far reach?) Im only 16 so that may change but it may not. The only thing is that I am not a talented artist or anything. I can’t draw amazingly like everyone else. I don’t see how I can create something on the computer if I can barely create something on paper. Am I screwed? Should I move on from this dream?
Practice, my friend, is the key.
Unlike what most people think, artistic capabilities are not limited to those who are "gifted" or "artistic from birth." Drawing and other artistic endeavors can be learned. You just need some patience and a lot practice.
If you’re into animation, you’re in for a whole lot of fun, since its one of the more technical areas of design. You’ll not only need to learn drawing but some computer techniques too. But don’t worry–there are a lot of people who draw lousy on paper yet create masterpieces digitally.
I myself draw like crap on paper, but hey, I’m working as a graphic designer with a roster of clients and some of my works have made their way into several big places. What I lack in pencil and paper abilities, I make up for with mouse and tablet ninjutsu.
You’re young and you have a lot of things ahead of you. I advise that you start practicing now. Read some books on drawing. I recommend Victoria Vebell’s "The Basics of Drawing" (see link below). It’s a great introductory textbook and you’ll learn a lot from it–and you’ll certainly discover that you have what it takes to draw great images.
So get your sketchpad (you do have one, don’t you?) And start practicing. Don’t give up on your dreams just because you think you’re not that good. It’s better to fail trying than to fail without even giving it a shot..
I hope this helped!.. ^_^

I want to know what computer is best or most used for computer graphics and architecture
All the above answers will get you a mediocre gaming computer at best. The reality is that industrial imaging applications require specialized hardware, and it’s not the same stuff boys are playing games with. The type of computer system you should be considering is a commercial workstation, not a gaming computer. There is a difference. I have provided a couple links to offer some insight into what hardware will best suit this purpose, but in the end, you will need to choose the hardware configuration that is right for you. I’m just guessing here, but don’t expect Dell to have what you want. You will likely need the computer custom built.
